    That's what's curious.

Mike was on top of the mountain at a much younger age than most. His shelf life so to speak would be increased by this. He didn't take un needed punches, he had the defence and fight ending power to prevent that.
I maintain furiously, that Tyson's biggest threat, was always going to be Lennox Lewis.

I included him in the OP, but shamefully forgot Ali. I don't think Muhammed had the opponents potentially available during his exile, to catapualt him higher up the list than he already is.

IMO, its Roy....Roy had the talent to put a hard fight for any past or present fighter...The man was superhuman and had the reflexes of a tiger...his lack of strong opposition kinda limited him in the rankings...If he would have put a lil more effort, I think he would have been ranked way higher.

i agree. i still have him #1 on my lb for lb list but if he didn't fight in his racist era, i think he'd be generally regarded as #1. could have been champ at lightweight, welterweight, middleweight, light heavy and heavy. unreal!!

Unfortunately not, just one fight. I suspect there are more films, because I know they were filmed, but it's just a question of finding them. Jimmy Jacobs likely had them which means they're probably in an ESPN vault somewhere but the only fight which has been released was against Oakland Billy Smith.

DURAN...If he'd been a more diciplined fighter with regard to his eating he'd be the undisputed joint number 1 along with SRR.

DURAN had already climed Mt Olympus when he handed Leonard his arse in Montreal, if duran had been human instead of being part animal & adopted some semblence of discipline with regards to the sport & training then he'd have seen Leonard off a 2nd time. But in all reality Leonard wanted no part of Duran again not until Janks Morten told him that Duran had turned into a blimp so got Don King to take the NOV re-match instead of waiting till january. $9million back then was plenty of reasons for KING to say yes

That fit & focused Duran of Montreal would have beaten Hearns/Benitez & Hagler back in 81/82 but that was not what Duran was about, he never gave a flying **** & unashamedley so. But he was from the gutter so it's not right to put modern western value's onto someone that fought for his meals as a kid.

This absolute nonsence & tear's in the eyes shite about Leonard being robbed of being a GOAT:lol::lol::lol: Go ask Leonard why he shamefully ducked Hagler for 5 years & would'nt re-match Hearns after he'd been outboxed & busted up for 12 rounds in 81. Journeyman Kevin Howard in 84 put the fear up Leonard so bad that he could'nt quit the sport fast enough:deal:deal:deal

Only one person was stopping Leonard fighting & that was Sugar Ray Leonard & he should know:lol: No ****in way was he going to get back into the ring with the Duran who butchered poor Davey Moore in 83 or the Hearns that iced Duran in 2 rounds in 84 or the Hagler that blew away Hearns in 85.

Leonard is a myth who had more IQ than the rest put together when it came to media manipulation. Leonard could'nt cut it above 147 at the highest level as Ayub Kalule showed when he pounded on Leonard back in 81 at 154 for the WBA crown, SRL was gassing bad after 8 & launched another do or die attack at the end of the 9th & dropped Kalule who got up at the end of the round only to have the ref wave it off. Kalule don't understand der inglish so SRL was gifted the fight & was a mightly relieved man indeed.

Leonard chose not too come back & fight in his prime for one very good reason & he knew that with his plant-em banger style it did'nt make for a long & lucrative career & he was'nt the hardest fighter to hit. Leonard quit boxing because he had no where to go except fight Marvin Hagler or re-match Benitez/Duarn or Hearns & he knew he could'nt beat him & that would be the end of the SRL $$$$$ Brand so he chose to go into phoney retirement & WAIT & he shamefully only re-matched Hearns & a 37yr old fatboy Duran 9 years later & even then they were catchweights & with massive $$$$ penalties.

**** off with this SRL shite, Leonard could'nt bug out fast enough when faced with annialation at the hands of a rampant fast & furious Marvin Hagler...best to WAIT TILL THERE ALL OLD/CHINNY/FAT & SLOW...nice one Ray:smoke
