The government does such a horrible job of managing it's own time and finances, I don't understand why people want to put them in charge of more.

Should boxing turned to religion instead of the government?

and this is supposed to help boxing how? I mean honestly how would this be any different or better than the way it is now? if your going to suggest because of Federal Government being involved well let me tell you they are more corrupt than what boxing is today.
So how is having them involved going to better our sport?

They can oversee each state's boxing commissions. They won't be there to replace them. In this case where Keith Kizer and NSAC just laughed and did absolutely nothing to look into the controversy, the Federal Commission would step in and do the work the corrupt commission won't do. They are basically there to "police" each state's boxing commission. They would also have the power to overturn decisions.

If they create an over-arching commission, you'll just find more fights take place in Mexico, Africa and Oceania.
