Which is pretty close to being on the money.
Dunno really, I think it's pretty clear a lot of people here let there personal feelings cloud their judgement.

It's difficult to know where MDM is at because of the inactivity, and that on it's own doesn't mean he's below Alex.

Whilst Alex has tested himself somewhat over the last 2 years or so, he's still very limited, who BTW, only just scraped in some of those wins in what seemed controversial fashion.

As for the 4 of the mentioned fighters, to me it's Chauncy who has the biggest question mark over his head, IMO.

Kali is certainly on a downhill run, though he is still dangerous at this level.

Alex Leapai has the runs on the board having beaten Cronje, Walker, Beck, Wilson, Barnett, Okello & Orlov, and fought 'Kingpin' Johnson.

de Mori may well rocket to stardom in the future. But at the present time, and that's what Chauncy is referring to, Leapai has the runs on the board and de Mori can't match them :good

Meehan and Cameron are good proven fighter's, no dout about that.
Mark "the Joke" De Mori and Chauncy "delusion's of Granduer" Welliver are not
anything speacial, Mark's unproven and not interested in stepping up, and will
probably fight for a W.B.F title at best, Chauncy had a shot but was taken to
school when he had a crack, no shame there he had a go, but to say Mark is above
    Leapai is absurd,

Do you compare who people have fought in total or at the same number of fights?

Seems odd to me saying this guy has fought these guys etc etc when one has had 10 more fights. If he had fought them in fights 16 through to 22 fair enough, but he didn't. Seems a weird comparison.

In football/rugby/soccer/basketball whatever floats your boat would you really say this guy is more successful cause he's played in 4 grand finals, won 2 MVp's etc after 100 games when someone one else has only played 50 games and obviously not had the chance yet to achieve the same outcomes?

To me you compare guys at the same number of fights in their career and thats why I say Mark is in a better position.

means nothing what this guy says, its only his opinion, its far from fact.

u r delusional about bigger or biggest names in boxing. this coming from a guy who has to go to CHINA to fight in front of a crowd with no idea who the hell u r, just to get paid. and i'm yet to see PROOF that anybody actually was there to watch, it could have been an EMPTY SHED for all we know, PMSL.

demori has zero decent wins on his record

both u and cameron don't fare much better either. the 2 of u r best known for when u both got smashed. hardly flattering is it?

meehan is way ahead of all 3 of u.

alex is the ONLY one willing to test his ability and has far more RESPECT as a fighter than u or mark.

u think holding COCO POPS PACKET BELTS makes u a good fighter? u r getting caught up in your OWN HYPE imo.

As usual you have missed the point entirely mate :patsch

The opening post is claiming Welliver/De Mori/Meehan/Cameron are the leading fighters in our region at the present time. Chauncy is not talking about 'better placed', future potential or hardest done by, he's talking about the four LEADING FIGHTERS in our region NOW :good

    leapai beats them all.

are you blokes stupid or something?

Chauncy is drawing a direct comparison between where these guys are at NOW, and if a guy like Alex Leapai has been busier and achieved more against better opposition those things weigh in his favour. Do you not comprehend that?

Leapai simply has the runs on the board having beaten Cronje, Walker, Beck, Wilson, Barnett, Okello & Orlov, and fought 'Kingpin' Johnson.

de Mori may well fight decent level opposition at some stage in the future, but at present Leapai is well ahead of him by any objective measure :good

Right now (not including Alex's injury) Mark and Chauncy are the best placed to land a name fight next.

    Clear enough for you?

Like it or not they are not both in the four biggest names in the region, and that's the topic of, and the discussion contained, in this thread :patsch

only because they arent dangerous. they are easybeats. you dont see guys knocking on alex door. hes too dangerous. hes no easybeat.

wellivr and demori are hopeless. just fat or roided.

    hilarious!

marks been saying that for 6 years.

i'm not convinced that mark or chauncy get past solomon haumono tbh or kirby.

inactivity aside ( probably wouldn't matter anyway ), i'd favour solomon over mark. i'm not certain that mark would have ko'd kirby. the pressure from kirby would have been a real handful imo. and haumono is pretty acurate with his shots so i'm not certain that mark would stay on his feet vs haumono.

and i reckon michael would have fancied himself vs chauncy too. myself included. who the hell has chauncy beat to make michael kirby concerned about his chances?

besides alex, i believe kirby would have beaten every one of de mori's opponents so far.

meehan & cameron have no doubt fought the better opposition, then maybe welliver just ,then de mori, leapai i would rate as high as meehan and think he would beat cameron in a good action fight . at least meehan, cameron & leapai fight guys that have tested them win or lose.
