Been watching a lot of classic lightweight guys, yet I can't find anything on Bobcat?

Anyone know what the deal with that is? Pretty strange IMO

It's weird as hell that there is no stuff on Greb..but it's even more odd that there is NOTHING on guys like Joyce or Bob and hardly any on Beau? Maybe because they weren't the big names?

I'm really intrigued by this. :blood

T, I saw the fight between Beau Jack and Bob Montgomery in March, 1943 at MSG. Montgomery won the title that night on a 15 round decision. It was for a War Bond drive, and the MSG crowd pledged a great amount of money
to buy Bonds...I still remember the War Bond song of that time .....It was a tough bout between two warriors...Two weeks later Beau Jack beat the tough left-hooker Bummy Davis at MSG which I also attended with my dad..Davis an 8-1 underdog flattened Bob Montgomery in one round in 1944...
Those days the best fighters fought the best opponents often, not like today...

O, It must have been exciting cause I remember the bout so vividly after so many years...There was so much excitement that night because of the War Bond Drive and because of Beau Jack and Montgomery both in their primes...Mongomery was a great bodypuncher whilst Beau Jack was to me
in his prime the greatest crowd pleaser I EVER saw....Not for nothing did Beau Jack SELL out MSG, SEVEN times in one year...But his mgr was responsible for overfighting young Beau Jack and in his first THREE years Beau Jack had 55 fights...What a shame ESB members cannot see films of the young Beau Jack I as a youngster saw at NY rings...What a time for lightweights. Beau Jack, Ike Williams, Bob Montgomery, Sammy Angott, Willie Joyce, Freddie Dawson etc. I was fortunate to see them all ringside...

bb, if you ever make a book I would try to get it in a heart beat. Great stories man and yes its unfortunate there is missing footage on fighters so we have to be thankful on what is available. Imagine no prime Ali, Robinson, or even Pep?
