    He has showed fighters how to break free from promoters and not get pimped,he also has intoduced random testing to the sport...sure he has his downfalls but he keeps the majority of his money and is his own boss...he has surrounded himself with great business people who go over the x's and o's but he calls the shots they move when he tells them to move...hope other fighters do this and maximize on their earning power

    He created 24 7 and is the only boxer to win an emmy for their 24 7 performance.

    85 mil 2 fights no endorsements. For a defensive boring fighter according to casual fans he sure makes a hell of a lot of money lol

    I'd say De La Hoya did first when he broke from Arum and eventually became so successful as a promoter, but Floyd is definitely setting an example as a fighter existing within an independent business model.

    when nobody else is guaranteeing his purse, then you and she can truthfully say that she's not being pimped.

    ...and this random testing that you and she keep yapping about is not really random.

    what floyd has introduced is the unabashed ducking that has now becoming very common.

    2. random is not knowing that in 4-5 months, you're going to go through a "random" drug test. someone with brains know that you only take steroids or hgh when you go on a fake retirement or year and a half vacations.

    @dodong

    True hate. If the tables were turned you would have praised MP for his Godlike ability to make money, but it isn't so you hate on it.

    If more big named fighters were their own promoters we would have a better breed of fighter, more fights on a daily basis and bigger fights.

    Certainly gotta give credit to Oscar....but i think Floyd took it and ran with it ...

    you gotta give the man his just due in this sport....you may not like some of the things or how he went about them but he has changed boxing and made a nice size mark on it.

    When this is all said and done he will be ranked pretty high and i think some will be shocked how high he will be ranked.

    I think the same can and will be said of Pac too....i dont think in the end though Pac will get ranked higher than Floyd...jmo
