"Mayweather maximizes his earnings by also acting as his own fight promoter through his company Mayweather Promotions. He collects all of the revenue from tickets, pay-per-view and sponsorships and covers the costs, including the purse for his opponent. His take home per fight is typically at least 50% higher than what his rival Manny Pacquiao earns."

This ISN'T a Floyd v Pac thread, let's just celebrate - TOP TWO SPOTS goes to Boxing. :bbb

    The List:

    1. Floyd Mayweather ($85 million) (2 fights - Ortiz & Cotto)
    2. Manny Pacquiao ($62 million) (2 fights - JMM & Bradley)
    3. Tiger Woods ($59.4 million)
    4. Lebron James ($53 million)
    5. Roger Federer ($52.7 million)
    6. Kobe Bryant ($52.3 million)
    7. Phil Mickelson ($47.8 million)
    8. David Beckham ($46 million)
    9. Cristiano Ronaldo ($42.5 million)
    10. Peyton Manning ($42.4 million)

I can't believe Pac topped Tiger Woods. Tiger had a good run last year.

floyd was the only one on that list who did it without endorsments too

    4 example

like 95% of tigers money is from endorsments and 5% from actual winnings

Yup, and as the article says: "Mayweather maximizes his earnings by also acting as his own fight promoter through his company Mayweather Promotions."

Like OP said its great to see our two best boxers up on top though....gotta be big for the sport.

What Floyd did is crazy though....just crazy and no endorsements.

It's pretty obvious that both PAC and FLOYD generate the same amount at this point of their careers. Don't forget that PAC has ARUM who's getting I believe 26% not so sure about that. 50/50 should be accepted by FLOYD.

Yup, Pac bring in a lot of fans too. The reason he's not earning as much as Floyd is because Floyd is his own boss. He gets all the profits.

clearly its no longer a 50/50 im not sayin it should be a landslide either....but 50/50 just is not there for Pac....nothing substantiates that for him.

A couple years earlier...probably had a better claim but as they continue to fight others and not each other....i just think it gets worse and worse for Pac and further and further away from 50/50.

Yup, it may not be 50/50 but the very least Floyd could do is offer 55/45 or 60/40. To give Pac ZERO PPV is as laughable as Arum demanding 50/50.
