    :rofl @ the Larry quotes in this thread. I wish I had started watching boxing earlier just to enjoy his genuis. I'm always watching old HBO ance KOTV fights with him on comms, he always has something interesting and/or hilarious to say. He will be missed.

    Larry Merchant doesn't know **** about boxing.
    He has no respect for boxers and has been hating on boxers since the 80's.

    HBO will be better off the day he is gone. I can't wait for a Max Kellerman HBO in place of this gray anti-wise idiot.
    I hope he enjoys his retirement.
