    I've just been told that the masks may be something to do with Buddhists. Not sure if the fighters are but their is (according to Wiki) a large Buddhist community in Japan.

    I think they're Joichiro Tatsuyoshi and Yasuei Yakushiji, who clashed for the WBC bantamweight title on December 4th, 1994 (they keep referencing that date via graphic, although neither of their names are given in English...)

    Probably having some "18 years later" reunion between the rivals. :conf Apparently they're somehow connected to tonight's main event?

    They're doing an almost round-by-round retrospective of Tatsuyoshi vs. Yakushiji, showing highlights with commentary and then cutting back to the pair watching themselves together in present day. :dead

    It looks like a fun fight and all, lots of lock-stepped pocket exchanges, close-range slipping & weaving, and BUDI BUDI BUDI punching - but FFS get to the live stuff. I have to leave for work in 90 minutes. :twisted:

    :lol: Wow...in round 4 Tatsuyoshi (who seems to be doing slightly better all around so far) executed a suplex slam that makes Dawson-Hopkins I look like nothing.
