    I felt it was closer personally, a round or two either way or a draw type result...though I can see why some feel Yaegashi won clearly.

    A draw at best to be honest.

    Sorry, UD.

    The 115-114 card was for Ioka as well.

    I'm not sure I'd call it a straight up robbery.
    There was a LOT going on in each round and they just kept trading blows. Pretty much each round was really close, as both did good work throughout.

    Man, Akira is a warrior through and through. Great fight, would love to see it again.

    Both guys fought like champions; Yaegashi was the better man on the night (er, morning)

    Granted, the crowd was a bit partisan with their "AKIRA! AKIRA! AKIRA!"* chants, but they were mainly there to support a Japanese unification match and were showing appreciation at times for both.

    I don't think they had undue influence on me...or anyone who scored it for Yaegashi. The cheers and collective gasps came about because Yaegashi was indeed pulling some straight up boss moves, landing hurtful blows threaded between daredevil stunts where you were never exactly sure he'd land on his feet.

    * (surprised no wisecrack'rs started in with a "Tetsuo!/Kineda!" call-and-response chant...)

    Looks like a closer fight than I thought, gonna give it a watch when its uploaded.

    Akira always comes to fight, shame he had to lose this. Hope he gets a rematch if Ioka decides to stay in the weight class.

    I wish we could get these fights here in North America instead some of the snooze fests I see. Japanese Boxing in general tends to have good, entertaining scraps.

    Man I wished I watched this one live, I knew it was gonna be good, and can't believe it went 12.

    Ioka pulled it out like I expected, but I figured his best shot of winning was by tko/ko. But he proved he's continuing to get better by going the distance and winning decision when a ko won't come. Good ****.

    I thought he lost clearly, but he did show a lot of poise in the face of some very heavy & awkward pressure...stood up to some ferocious head and body shots...and closed the show by nutting up and convincingly taking the 12th with an extremely high work rate in spite of his fatigue.

    Yea from what I read the 12th seemed to secure the win for Ioka.

    I'm deff gonna go back and watch this one and see what my scorecard looks like. At least in a fight this close it's hard for everyone to scream robbery.
