    Ortiz poses a big risk to Canelo, so why is a Canelo TKO win being discussed as a foregone conclusion.

    As if RS didn't know about Chavez/Martinez taking place on that date,
    before they announced it - he has flat out told a porky there.

    I dont like Arum one bit, but he hasnt really said anything to suggest that
    he isnt being upfront on this.

    RS is the one stooping here, he is letting his ego get in the road,
    Chavez/Martinez is easily the better fight IMO.

    GBP will move their date.Top Ranks card is far superior.
    Look for an arm "injury" to Canelo or Ortiz in a couple of weeks.They will go Oct.5.

    After all the shenanigans on top ranks part. And all the bull**** that comes JCC with glove weight hyper hydrating and skipped drug test. I think i will skip the drama and go with Ortiz Alvarez. After Ortiz Alvarez i will come to ESB to read how people are done with boxing and top rank because of the JCC Martinez fight.

    I would rather watch Ortiz fight Canelo. I'm really rooting for Ortiz. The only way I would only buy Chavez/Martinez if TR card is much superior from GBP. Either way I see this very good for boxing.

    Competition = Better PPV

    Im torn on this...

    Jr-Sergio is the better fight no doubt, but Canelo-Ortiz isn't too bad,, plus it's gonna have a SOLID co-feature in Gonzalez-PDL...TR needs to put on a hell of an undercard here...If they put the Arce-Rojas rematch, then the TR card it is for me.

    I'll still take Ortiz/Canelo and PDL/Gonzalez over Chavez/Martinez.

    This is absurd. Everyone loses if they both go forward on the same night. If I were a fighter earning a percentage of the PPV buys I would be pissed that I will probably now make less money because of the split viewership. Arum says that the PPV company is thrilled because they have the stronger card, but who is he kidding? I'm sure they'd be a lot more thrilled if they had no competition.

    This isn't good for the sport. These two fights should be on separate nights. With that said it seems Arum is the one who wants to force this.

    Canelo-Ortiz will be the better fight, it will be a war. Martinez will outbox JCC Jr and it won't be nearly as interesting.
