Are there any ways of surviving a good body shot?

Obviously, a body shot does not feel nice at all. But are there any ways to reduce that horrible feeling when taking a body shot? Maybe even prevent going down?

    Suck it up.

You can prevent it from hurting too bad if you see and anticipate it coming and prepare for it.

If you get hit and winded then Hold your breathe before you really need to breathe then slowly start breathing again keeping it shallow
Other than that there is not much you can do.

    Liver shot ftw.

It's f**king hard though! Especially when you're caught with a bloody good one. Feels like your going to throw up! to be fair, I've only been hit with 1 good body shot and the "throw up" feeling was overwhelming!

dig deep thats about it, a well placed body shot is the worst! If you get rocked in the head you get a bit confused and your not to sure whats going on. but with a well placed body shot you know exactly what happend and you cant do anything about it. Ive been dropped by body shots in the amateurs before and have been on the floor telling myself to get up and my body just wouldnt react. It sucks when you know your down and your body just doesnt want to listen to you even though your thinking clearly

    This.

There are ways to train the body to recover more quickly, just like you can improve the speed at which lactic acid is broken down.

    - Although you didn't specify what type of body shot. Not much helps with a solid shot to the kidneys.

Not really. You could be the biggest, strongest, well conditioned athlete in the world and taking a crunching shot to the liver, plexus, or rib cage your going to fold, buddy. How middlweight Fitzimmons ko'd heavyweight Gentleman Jim Corbett, how Hopkins ko'd never before stopped DLH, and Roy Jones lay Virgil Hill in writhing, unbearable pain. At least with a headshot you can blackout for a acouple seconds or shake the double vision off, but bodyshots will render your body useless and it won't do what your brain commands it to do. Just imagine having the wind knocked out of you and you can't gasp for air even if you wanted or having most of your strength sapped from you with barely enough to walk all in a split second. Headshots don't have **** on bodyshots. They don't.

A good body shot, there is almost nothing you can do except hope you have enough air in your lungs to get your hands up and move the **** out of the way, a good body shot usually your on the floor.

a solid body shot, well let me put it to you this way take a look at Floyd Mayweathers elbows in that Cross over Style he has, notice his elbows are out his hands are not like two pilars like Mickey Ward or Pacquiaos, that is designed to block the vast majority of body shots.

the best you can do is work on your defense, and do your floor work in the gym and during the fight by all means do everything you can not to take em.
