The powers that be hire "the best" judges to do the job. Then they throw them under the bus for making a decision they don't agree with. Obviously corruption does exist in boxing. Duane Ford might have had a biased agenda (although I highly doubt it). However Pac-Bradley was a competitive match. I see no reason why there should be an outcry. Rematch? Yes, please make it happen. No problem. But I get the feeling all this hoopla is about the special treatment of Pac and the fact that his fans can't accept a loss. Where was the protest throughout Gabriel Campillo's career? I realize it's never too late to make a positive change but I am willing to bet the next guy who gets robbed won't even be a blip on the radar! Please don't call it an unprecedented fight for the rights of all boxers when it's really an act of favoritism.
THey are going to need money and alot to set up a US Commission this will be federal and the people who work for this commission will likely be earning alot more than what the current members make. Honestly a US commission is bad for the sport
You're a day late. Already made a thread about it. :hi: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=410989 Tim Bradley wins again! AND NEEEWWWW.... ... bill to legislation from 2 U.S. Senators, a Democrat and Republican, united as one to fight fraud in boxing. If this passes, is this considered another win for Tim Bradley? I think it's a win for him and boxing. This content is protected Senators push bill to battle fraud in boxing
"Valcarcel, who said he thought Pacquiao won eight rounds to four, said that the organization's rules do not allow for the bout being overturned, but that 'the only thing that we can do is authorize a rematch.' " Exactly what Bob Arum wants. $$$$ Sigh ......
The unanimous review by the WBO will only add firepower to Senators Reid and McCain's case. And since they both represent America's 2 largest political parties, they should have a good chance of passing the bill.
Then it's a good thing the top 2 earning athletes in the world are professional boxers (Floyd and Pac). U.S. politicians know where the money is at. :hey
I suggest while the WBO is at it have them sit down and look at Marquez Pacquiao as well just saying Manny did not win that fight neither lets be fair about it or is manny so ****ing special he is above boxing?
Pac-Marquez 3 was a close fight where it could have gone either way or a draw. 99% of media scores had an average of Pac winning 10 rounds to 2 against Bradley. If you can't differentiate between the 2 then you should have the WBO investigate your head.
