Back in 2009/10, I couldn't really understand why everyone was giving Pac a good shot to beat him. But after viewing the Ortiz and Cotto fights and Roach's comments about Floyd losing his legs appearing to be true, I think Pac's greatest opportunity to beat Floyd was indeed a couple of years ago, and I get why some liked his chances. I also understand why Floyd Senior was worried about having his son in there with him.

Pacquiao was a dangerous prospect for Mayweather back when he was beating up Cotto etc. The southpaw stance, speed, angles and workrate would have given him tough 12 rounds. But not so much now. Pacquiaos style doesn't age well and it was expected for him to slow down round about this stage.

No Pacquiao vs Mayweather wouldn't be competitive, Manny still has the same style, why would you think the years makes a difference? You may say Manny isn't the same fighter but neither is Floyd, in 2009 he would've ripped Manny apart.
