Right now it's Whitaker, but if Floyd fights another couple of past prime blown up featherweights who were always overrated to begin with, you'd have to give him serious consideration.

:rofl:roflMayweather really has you fooled doesnt he. Ricky Hatton provided a stiffer test than the blown up marquez. Lets see how floyds defence would hold up with the like of cotto/pac, paul williams etc

Whitaker. More dynamic, and versatile has beaten better competition.
Pernell never had a moment as scary as mosley vs mayweather.

Whitaker definitely. The man proved himself against top notch opposition. Julio Cesar Chavez was 10 times better than any opponents Floyd has ever faced. Cotto landed some good power shots on Floyd whereas Pernell would slip through anything that a young primed Oscar De La Hoya was able to give.
P4P, Whitaker might just be the best anyway but I would give Floyd the 3rd rank in term of pure defensive skills.

Mayweather's best defensive assets are his control of distance and his guard. Whitaker was more versatile IMO, and was a much better mover.

I like Pea's, even though Floyd counters better.
