Saw Tor Hamer win Prizefighter tonight & was impressed by this kid. Tor reminds me a bit of Byrd. :bbb

He's small but has very slippery elusive headmovement, fast hands, nice combo punching & a sweet pressure jab.

Does anyone know how he managed to lose to the totally unknown "Kelvin Price" two years ago?

I notice it was a SD, did anyone see this fight & think Hamer deserved the Decision?

Also, Kelvin Price any good? I notice he's a 6'7 giant but haven't heard anything about his boxing ability.

It's called being young and inexperienced. At least he wasn't KO'd like Wlad was in all his losses.

Uh...in case you haven't noticed, there's a massive difference between Lamon Brewster and Corrie Sanders, on one hand...and Kelvin Price, on the other.

Whats the problem with being KO'd? It's part of boxing. Wlad learned from those experiences and has ruled the division for the last 6 years!

He doesn't understand that Kelvin Price is not on the same level as Brewster or Sanders. Massive difference. Hell, Price isn't even on par with Ross Purrity.

To be honest, Byrd is FAR better fighter than Tor Hamer.

Hamer is good prospect and he impressed me yesterday.
    But he has some flaws.
    His chin isn't good, too.

Tor Hamer was knocked down in the 6th rd and struggled to get win (57-56 on two cards) against Theron Johnson. The same Johnson who fought Bryant Jennings twice in six-rd fights and lost every round in both.

Price clearly won the fight against Hamer, though it was competitive.

As of now, there are better American HW prospects than Tor Hamer - Jennings, Mitchell, Wilder, Joe Hanks

I agree. Wlad turned it around and although he may not have the most exiting style,he has turned into a well rounded HW champion.
