The hilarious thing is if not for the cut Vitali would have won all 6 rounds. He easily won rounds 1 and 2. Round 3 was when he got cut and started to get hit with a few Lewis right hands which up until that point he couldn't land at all Vitali had used his slick defense and King Cobra like Head movement to avoid them.

But, as we all found it didn't matter because Vitali Klitschko has an Iron Chin and he ate Lennox best shot that brutal uppercut without going down. I still laugh at Lennox before the fight telling HBO Klitschko didn't have a Chin because he had never taken a punch before. He was wrong. :roflatsch

Just like Big George Foreman said at the end of the broadcast "If not for that cut...."

Either way it was a great fight one of the best Heavyweight fights we have had the last 10 years. :good

At the end of the fight Vitali wasn't throwing punches, 15 seconds with not a single punch thrown

Spent with nothing left, he was throwing clinches not punches

Lennox flopping on his stool means nothing

Prime Vitali was TKO6'd by a faded Lewis

And there is not a thing you goddamn nuthuggers can do about it

The truth is the truth and cannot be change. I watch fights and i have my opinion and deep in Wlad, he knows who the better fighter was, now Emanuel Steward is in Wlad´s corner and Wlad learned much how to react well. Same like Lewis when he begins to work with Emanuel Steward.

When I see the word 'Fact' at the beginning of a post on ESB, it is almost always followed by some subjective conjecture... (otherwise known as an 'opinion' which is the exact opposite of the word 'fact').

I happen to agree that Vitali was whoopin that ass in that fight... but it wasn't a bull**** stoppage... everyone here should know boxing rules. Vitali's eyebrow was hanging from his face and it was caused by punches.

Y'all gotta get over it, that **** was 9 years ago.

The cut was bad and the fight was rightly stopped, but in all honesty we all know that Lewis should haven given him a rematch.

And if he really didn't want to retire like he did then he should have granted Vitali the rematch he promised.

 

You sometimes come across as if you know something about boxing(despite your alarming propensity for bumlicking your favourite overrated fighters) and then you come away with statements like that.:-(

Lewis won on a cut with Vitali ahead in the fight.

He also promised a rematch and didn't deliver on it after a year of hesitating.

As he left the last fight in his career being booed by the fans in Staples Center, you'd think he would have wanted to set that right.

He didn't, and it still bothers him today.

Late last year, he asked Steward if he would train him for a rematch with Vitali.

Don't know what happened, but he is still hesitating about the rematch.
