Why do people hate on/dislike Amir Khan?

I love boxing more than slugfesting, that's why when most people go to sleep with fights such as Toney-McCallum I & II and Larry Holmes fights, I get thrilled, not with Foreman-Lyles, Barrera-Morales I or Ward(RIP)-Gatti or Corrales (RIP) vs Castillo. I believe Khan should use his boxing skills, you don't have to say that to me but since having the same etnic origin as Khan, I have to see him bursting this guy Garcia like he did to Salita, end of the story. Concerning Amir taking Manny's or Floyd's place, that is you Sir, with all due respect, dreaming out loud... Amir has to prove himself at last by beating all guys in the 140 division and those who are left are Garcia and then he has to face Bradley cause he can't tell him to grow b***s and then skip and move to Floyd. In the meantime, all you people disregard Alexander who beat Maidana far easier than Khan did and he is supposed to be an excellent and pure boxer who's also developing power ( both Alexander and Khan dropped Maidana who is by far the bigger puncher in the division) so forget about Ortiz since he's moving to 154... Let's see Khan alongside with Alexander and Bradley and then, and then, we have to take our own conclusions...

 

I liked him til the Petersen fight

i didnt like his performance and i didnt like how he behaved post fight

i dont hate him, i think he is gonna destroy Garcia but im just not really a fan anymore

to me he has to redeem himself

He's a cocky son of a ***** and then cries when things dont go his way. Take the maidana fight for example I laughed so hard when he went to touch gloves with Marcos Maidana in the first round and Maidana threw a wide hook at his face. During the maidana fight also he cried like a ***** to cortez while he was getting the **** kicked out of him and he turns his back on maidana twice, turns 180 degrees around TWICE like a coward. His false bravado is very off putting.

it's impossible to like this guy! everytime he starts winning me back he goes and says something stupid to **** it up..... also his style is awful to watch and his personality screams douche bag of the highest order. It's all a little try hard imo.

fighters that have wit/gift of gab can get away with arrogance by being playful with it and actually have their arrogance come accross as charming, Khan just seems so far up his own ass and serious about it that it's not the slightest bit endearing. He can't believe some of the dumb **** he says, he's a walking contradiction (no green day).

his whining/crying/bitching/blaming everyone but himself for his own shitty performances is the absolute breaking point. take some blame, it ain't hat mans fault you can't fight on the inside.

 

I think Khan just needs some sort of sensible advisor, who can step in and let him know when he says something that come across as too cocky or silly. He also needs to be banned from Twitter. If those two things happened, I think he wouldn't be disliked as much as he is.

Unfortunately, no one censors him, so he basically hurts himself constantly with his comments online, in interviews, etc. Even that music video he made for himself was awful:

When you watch that video it looks like he would fit in better at the Mayweather gym rather than Wildcard.
