Round 1

Gonzales stalks and pops high jabs to the face. Augustama clatters around, taking quick noisy steps and hooking out of a high guard on the back foot. Gonzales leans in against him and starts to work the body with uppercuts. Augustama presses down on the shorter Gonzales and answers back with his own big heavily loaded uppers to the body. Pocket warfare, grinding across the ring. Gonzales is pushing Augustama to the ropes. Body shots traded both ways, Gonzales still favoring uppercuts and Augustama starting to bend his knees and put some leverage on some wide left hooks. Gonzales pushes Augustama toward the ropes and strikes him across the middle.

Round 2

Gonzales jabs and ducks under Augustama's jab stepping forward with his body coiled and tilted in low. Augustama backs up to the ropes and reaches his long tentacles out to pull Gonzales in. Uppercuts inside by Gonzales. Augustama braces against him, trying to pin his wrists around Gonzales' head from behind and squeeze it down. Augustama pushes off and digs a couple of hooks to the body. Gonzales throws a flurry of uppercuts, almost shoeshining the body, then slams a hard straight right to the beltline as Augustama rips away with left and right hooks to the sides. Another right to the belt line by Gonzales and the ref warns him to keep them up. They scrap into a clinch and are told to break. Gonzales pursues Augustama with his left jab fluttering up high. Augustama hunkers down and tries to slap the body as Gonzales comes hammering in.

Round 2

Augustama is pushing the long jab out and backing up quickly. Gonzales follows, throwing single and double jabs and 1-2s at the vanishing head of the reclining Augustama. Gonzales tries to reach across with a left hook as Augustama navigates a corner and grazes. Gonzales walks his man down and manages to lean up against him and work the body. Augustama tries to get his arms tied up and swallow him into a snakelike hug. Gonzales keeps shaking him or getting assistance from the ref. Now Gonzales himself is warned again for another low blow. The ref brings Augustama to his corner and admonishes them for having his cup positioned improperly. The chief second yells back "What do you want me to do about it?" while Augustama gives his trainer a pleading look, eager for a break. Moot point, not much time left in the round once time in is called.
