are you guys serious, you are actually praising AO for this this was in no way a random test and i couldnt care less if he done one every fortnight id still have my doubts on ol alistair, done a test to rebuild confidence in the state commission, but wasnt his last argument that his diet and genes are factors in his extremely high T to ET ratio, so if he scored 4:1 ratio in this test what does that do for his previous argument on the 14 or 16;1 ratio he scored last time out when he tried to do a runner from the commission, id personally prefer if they just came out and said look we need this **** to train if i dont take stuff i physically cannot train to fight
I saw the Tweets on his Twitter yesterday. To be honest they were farcical. Overeem has been on hormones since PRIDE. Bottom line is he is a drug cheat. The evidence on his physical transformation is compelling enough alone. He'd have been better off keeping his mouth shut.
Not praising Reem at all fella, but it's hopefully a step in the right direction for the NSAC with regards to PED offenders
i wouldnt really call it a step in the right direction at all, the NSAC have publicly said how the feel towards overeem and lets just say its a texas chavez jr relationship they have going on although nowhere near as bad, oh mr overeem your fanbase is impressive and your looks are those of a dutch brad pitt, come on the NSAC obviously like alistair and probably gave him a call a few months back and said to fool those dumb fans of yours some more we will do a urine sample on 2 months time, a blind juiced up baboon with no arms would still pass those tests ffs
I agree entirely Slayer, look at my previous posts. But hopefully public desire for a clean (well...) sport will push them into being stricter. They all ready went out of their way to catch Reem with a Random test after he bailed on the 1st one, and now they are taking samples from him when he's not even licensed to fight. It's a small step I know, and may only be a public relations exercise, but hopefully it's not
sounds like a PR stunt from the get go, reem has some serious amount of fans who are accustomed to profound nuthuggery and the tweets yesterday just give them more ammo to the reem is clean argument, as bad as this is i actually like reem and it doesnt make me sick to the stomach when i read about chavez jr and the texas commision
How about we stop testing altogether?! Who fukin cares what they wanna put into them that helps them give a more competitive, exciting fight! It should be a free for all, the intensity and excitement of the potentially more extreme level of fighting would be great to watch. As in any sport, drugs enhance it. We all need to STFU and let athletes do what they choose.
If I was 14 I would prob have same mentallity. When it comes to competition athletes have to be protected from themselves and other athletes who are getting advantages. See the Mark Kerr documentry if you need a reason why drugs should be banned.
There will always be drugs, always be an edge and extreme a fighter/athlete can get. How bad they want it will warrant the tools they use to get there. Going about these witchhunts will only hurt the sport in several ways and nothing will be accomplished because new drugs that won't test will always be coming down the tunnel.
Yes, it's a game of cat and mouse for sure but if the commision get's tougher and makes suspensions more harsh that will deter alot of guys from using. Stopping PED use will not hurt the sport in the long run sure cards will be affected but when you see guys like Mark Kerr before and after you can not say drug use is a good thing.
If steroids were legal to use there would be more documentation on the subject and after some time new breakthrough would be discovered leading to, maybe, safer steroids.... Just a thought BTW !
