According to all officials, towel was appropriate which beat the ref by half a second.

Exactly right. A good shot to the liver is as good a way as any to finish a fight.

Very hard to recover from a solid liver shot. I still havent had time to review the footage, will do so asap. And from memory the ref didnt stop the fight, McCubbin did via the towel , if im wrong ill admit it but at this stage im standing my ground. Ref stops it then no problem , Anton says the ref was just about to so if thats the case then i have no problem, i just feel as a trainer u have to give ur fighter a chance to recover, u dont throw in the towel each time u think he is hurt otherwise alot of fights would be stopped via the towel.

Gatti has been hurt with a few body shots, wincing in pain but his corner didnt throw in the towel, just watch Gatti v Ward fight and you will see what i mean.

I remember seeing video a bloke uploaded. He quit on his feet (via bodyshot) in the ams. He wasn't really hurt...just embarrassed and realised he was deluded about his ambitions and so wanted to get out of there as fast as he could before he did end up on flat on his face or arse.

That was a fight that said combatant was stoned in...told me had to starve to make weight and said smoked bongs to take away the hunger pains.

Its the same person who started the thread actually.

Throw up that video. That would be a good laught.

What was the opponents name again?

Who was the bloke who drove down to the venue...to give said combatant a lift to the fights, and pick up a puppy?

Said combatant definitely asked a lot of questions about drug testing after that fight!

    You got pwned once again.

So Thailand wasn't the first time you quit after a bodyshot?

And you were or are an active drug user but set out to try to discredit Linc. How the **** can you be trusted to train kids since you're ok with training and fighting with illicit drugs in your system?

Be a good lad and throw up the video.

Of course a body shot can be devastating but it's not going to cause any permanent damage, if the guy was up before 10 and ready to go and his trainer threw the towel in because he didn't want his fighter to get hurt then the trainer is a ****ing idiot. Especially with his guy up with only 26 seconds left. You're not getting brain damage from a body punch ffs.

Well I don'y give a **** about the ins and outs of this fight ,,, What i do know is I know John , and has a fighter he was a good en , he gave his all and had a will to win ,, has a trainer he's a good en, and if he still likes to win , but even more importantly him and his boxer have a good bond and straight away i know he would'nt throw a towel in, unless he knew his fighter was ****ed , ESPECIELLY at the end of the final round , he like me , would'nt need a stop watch to know the end of the round is near , and whats more he would'nt throw the towel in unless HE THOUGHT NECCESSARY .

jOHN WAS LOOKING AFTER HIS BOXER , i WAS'NT THERE , I HAVE NOT SEEN THE FIGHT , i DON'T NEED TOO , i know John , and he thinks more about his boxer than a win on the board .

Good on ya John . the kid is a tough one and if John thought it neccesary IT WAS.
