Exactly its like people want to jump on the badwagon and find someone to decimate!

 

Here's a much better and shorten version of the fight. Lopez was whooping his ass every round. He chased Victor around the ring and taunted him, 'come on lets fight!' Victor got some okay shots in. Lopez ate em up n held his man when needed. Vic got in a hard flagrant foul to the back of Lopez head. Ortiz tried to kiss n make up. Lopez kept on whooping Ortiz ass. Then he literally shattered Ortiz jaw with a hard left hook. Lopez kept chasing Vic and lighting him up. Round ended. Vic went to his corner n sat down. Started trippin out and standing up while his trainer tried to calm him down. Ortiz told the ref i cant fight my jaw is broken. It was ****in amazing. The end

 

Good Post. A lot of keyboard warriors on here. His jaw was probably broken, he will always be particularly open to criticism regarding his heart/mental toughness. So maybe it isn't the best in the sport (almost all fighters have weaknesses, cant all be ATG) but he has still achieved a lot and those calling him names and saying he has no heart etc. are over the top.

The interviews with Ortiz are what I find puzzling, same after Mayweather fight, he was almost smiling after the fight, his corner had to literally drag him away to the dressing room. Probably trying to put on a brave face, can't quite put my finger on it.

Its a pity because I expected him to beat Lopez and go on to have a good fight with Canelo. Not sure where he goes from here, but he is still young. I'm afraid he will always be susceptible to being found out when the pressure is really on, I think the dirty shots are a sign of frustration/weakness.

Was quite impressed with Lopez. Two emerging fighters last night, Lopez and Mattyhese, interesting fights ahead for those two, especially Mattyhese if he isn't avoided too much.

That's sounds great, I'm going to watch the fight now, hopefully this means bigger and better things for Lopez and it doesn't affect Ortiz too badly. Just dont want the injury to have an impact on his career.

"Boy cried wolf" scenerio. He looked like he quit against Floyd and he def quit against Maidana so its hard to say. Only he knows how severe his injury was if it was legit at all but to his credit he was spitting at least a bottle amount of blood out of his mouth.

BTW if anyone goes to Abraham for an example lets not forget his the biggest crybaby in the world as far as taking legit bodyshots. Props to Ortiz though for giving a great fight despite the unfortunate ending of it for him.

Vic made the mistake of underestimating Lopez's punching power.

They made an error of thinking a JWW couldn't do **** to Vic.

Ortiz showed frustration when he hit lopez in the back of the head and fot that,ortiz got what he deserved.

 

You could see in the rounds leading up he couldnt close his mouth. His jaw looked pretty swollen no need to doubt it.

 

I've had my jaw dislocated also and you guys are wimps for requiring painkillers. A professional boxer is used to getting hit in the jaw, and I had my jaw dislocated a few times as a kid.

It's uncomfortable for sure, but it's not in some people to quit. Some people have such a will to win that they'd risk their life to get the W while others will just quit. Ortiz is a quitter and usually once a quitter always a quitter.

 

Abraham didn't quit and his jaw was completely shattered. Ali didn't quit. Ortiz is just a wimp quitter.

He quit against Mayweather. I'm not convinced that shot knocked him out. He quit prior to that. He's always quitting or acting like a complete ***** in the ring, he's worse than Kermit.

Yep that's how I saw it .... Though I had Vic winning 2 or 3 rds
