Victor Ortiz should go train with Freddie Roach, his team seem like A**holes!

I'm sure he would train Ortiz if approached. He's very pro black but I don't think he's against everyone else. Garcia does seem to be like a father figure to him. The manager though...not sure about him.

Feel sorry for Victor with his Coca Cola driver (Garcia) training him looks like he's very loyal to his friend but it's time to move forward with an elite trainer.

Danny Garcia isn't even the best trainer in his family.

Remember the training videos for when they were preparing for ****** may? All Danny was telling Ortiz to do was hit Floyd "hit him everywhere, just hit him"

Should Victor continue fighting he is going to need someone who can motivate him.
The guy is a broken man who obviously can't get over the "Past".

**** it, bring in Teddy Atlas.

:rofl its not loyalty at all.

The only reason he's with Danny is because Robert wouldn't exclusively train him.

And the whole reason Danny works for coca cola is because Ortiz made sure he doesn't train anyone else.

    Atlas would make Ortiz cry.

Robert said quitor hated being shouted at and told what to do, he used to train hard but it wasn't possible to push him that little extra because he would get angry and stop altogether.

I feel bad for Ortiz's trainer. Your fighter tells the ref he has a broken jaw and to stop the fight.

    :think True.

Let's get him in Cotto's camp.
That trainer did wonders for MC's confidence.
(That camp could be all pretty in pink)

The garcia's are the best in boxing particularly over the last 5-7 years. Champion after champion. Victor just doesn't have the heart or the mentality. Just the skill. And that's not enough.

    Where's the defense?

    Why isn't he countering better?

This is the responsibility of the "Teacher" to "Teach" how to defend and counter properly.

Victor is relying heavily on his physical gifts.

He needs a "Teacher" to "Teach" him how to defend properly by rolling with the punches, blocking, bobbing and weaving, etc.
Something other than blocking punches with his face while looking like he has a cast around his neck. How many times does this guy have to get hit flush for someone to teach him what to do?

Great Teachers can set up programs where it builds on your reaction capability. Works on your anticipation. Works on your ability to counter and time when to punch. And even work on your mindset.

Guys, it's not the training. The guy is always in tip top shape. It's his mentality - that's not something you can train or teach.
