While I'm no fan of Victor, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. In the moment the punch landed and Victor had his mouth wide open, I was 100% sure that his jaw was broken.

Even with a broken jaw he should not have quit.

i'll take brains over heart any day. fighting with a broken jaw just simply isn't smart, don't care who you are. Ortiz is in this sport to make money. no point in making it if you can't enjoy it.

Abraham was a fool. He could just have as easily had his career ended.

I understand that and I agree with you but the problem is Ortiz already quit before in the Maidana fight so this one don't look to good for him.

Plus AA has that inpenetrable peek-a-boo defense. With the pace of that fight Ortiz was clearly going to eat some hard shots for the next 9 minutes. 3 rounds is an eternity inside the ring, tough sparring or fight.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt but never once have I heard of a fighter's career ending because he continued to fight after breaking his jaw. If anyone can direct me to a fighter that it's happened to, I'll gladly retract my previous statement as I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong.

sorry dumb ****..... people cant stop something that is broken on the inside. if you know **** about broken jaws, especially like his with his mouth open and a huge punch , getting caught just right will break your jaw in 2 pieces and in turn ripping the flesh inside the mouth...thus the dark red goops of blood he was spitting out in the dressing room
