Im hoping to be done by the end of the year depending on how fast someone can edit it. Its drawing to a close now. Feels good and with the light at the end of the tunnel visible Ive been working a lot harder on it.

The holdup has been several things. Mainly the fact that its a one man show. from research, to writing, to design. I have a ton of rare photos in the book and many are newspaper photos. I wanted them to look as good as possible so Ive been digitally restoring those myself and at times that slows things down. And of course life gets in the way also... It will all be worth it when its done though.

If it's as long winded and pompous as Klompton the poster then it should be some read.

Yeah Klomptons book is the "Chinese Democracy" of boxing literature.

Nice to take cheap shots at a target that cannot hit back ... I'm sure that when it comes out the book will be terrific ...

    Boo hoo for Klompton.

A number of very fine posters (who I'm unsure if they've ever returned) received lifetime bans from this site for nothing because of the ego's of Klompton and that nutcase from Cyber Boxing Zone.

He might have been knowledgable but he was also an arrogant arsehole who resorted to general forum cliches when it suited him to put down a fighter he didn't like (Roy Jones,Lennox Lewis) which was laughable for a supposed historian who gets held in such high esteem by some on here.

    All true.

But his Greb book is likely to be brilliant.

So in your book that justifies cheap shots from a guy that cannot respond ? I'm not here to be his rep as I read and engaged the guy for ten years and know he is moody and erratic but no reason or excuse to punk out.

it is true of Klompton he can be an ignorant *****, and nobody knows but Klompton... but I agree his book should probably be quite informative.

personally I think he's left it a bit late and his behaviour over the years with many people might bounce back on him!
