Ortiz is a ***** little punk!! He's not Mexican, and he's not a fighter. He is weak as hell, not heart, no guts and no balls. He needs to go back to female modeling. Damn joke!! Josephito was beat up and he didn't quit. Ortiz, you're a punkass pretend to be fighter. Get the hell out of the sport.

not continuing wasn't the worse thing

the worse thing was SAYING "my trainer wanted me to go on, but i didn't"

couldn't dude have lied and say that HE wanted to continue but his trainer is the one who called it?

i knew he was dumb but wow

I agree. Speaking for myself, I am not mad that as a fighter he couldn't continue, but I am mad because A. he has a history of quitting ... B. He committed another blatant foul in this fight ... C. The fact that had he just fought 3 more rds, he more than likely would have had the chance to fight on a huge card vs Canelo. (And he claims his jaw was broken in the 1st minute of the 9th rd, but yet he fought and was actually winning the rd till the last 20 secs or so. Hard to see why he couldnt continue fighting). But at the end of the day, as a trainer who has worked with some potential fighters, I will always respect anyone who laces them up for a living. He still quit though, I don't care what anyone says.

^This. Geezus you keyboard warriors are the real pathetic ones here. I dont care how you slice it, but living to fight another day will always be the smart choice.

Being tough and digging deep is a great attribute to have but there is such a thing as being to tough for your own good. Bottom line is we dont know what Ortiz was feeling in there. Had he gone on to suffer serious and permanent damage you all woulda been saying he shoulda pulled out when he knew something was wrong.

Lets imagine history was a bit different for the G Man. Imagine he had 'quit' early on in the fight against Benn when he knew something wasnt right. All you keyboard bitches would prolly have jumped down his throat labeling him a coward and not being able to handle adversity yadda yadda. **** that and **** you all, look where he is now. Are any of you willing to help pay these guys bills should they suffer life threatening injuries? You guys gonna be there for them when everyone else drops them?

Victor Ortiz and every other boxer for that matter has more courage then all you clowns hating on him. And while I would love to see a fighter overcome the odds and fight through adversity, I sure as hell would prefer that same fighter quitting when he knew he had taken to much as opposed to ending up the way the G Man did.
