    Look how massive Galindez's upper body is compared to his legs. The dude was built like a fire plug.

    Both Victor Galindez and Jorge Ahumada,,,,,,,,

    'Tough Argentinian Bulls'

    Jorge Victor 'Aconcagua' Ahumuda or better known as 'Mountain' Ahumuda.

    a) A solidly built 6' 0" 'brick wall'. A tough as nails fighter, who was 'in-your-face' for the whole fight.
    b) A good boxer, and a sharp hitter.
    c) Had a paralyzing left hook to the body, and was a very good counter-puncher.
    d) Not particularly fast, but could throw double left-hooks quickly.
    e) Liked to stay in close to utilize his strength, and to unload his heavy body punches.
    f) Best power-punch, the left hook.
    g) Defensively was fair, and could be hit.

    Started off in Argentina as a Middleweight,

    * Ran off a 30-1-0 (16 KO's) record through July 1970, and was rated as the #17 WBA Middleweight.

    * 1972 thru 1974........In his last '13-bouts', Jorge Ahumada goes 12-0-1 (7 KO's).
    * May 1, 1974............The 28 year-old Ahumada, is ranked as the #6 WBC/#7 WBA Light-Heavyweight with a record of 48-5-1 (26 KO's)

    * June 17, 1974......Fights to a (Draw 15) with World Light-Heavyweight Champion, Bob Foster.

    Correct,

    Unknown, Argentinian -Jorge Victor Ahumada (fighting out of New York City) out-muscles
    World Champion Bob Foster, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

    This guy was supposed to be a 'safe opponent' for Champion Bob Foster.

    Every boxing writer in attendance had Jorge Ahumada winning by '3-points'.

    Scorecards;
    Judge;........144-144....EVEN
    Judge.........148-143....Bob Foster
    Referee;.....145-142....Jorge Ahumada

    Jorge Ahumada had '1-point' deducted in Round 10, for a low-blow he administered on Bob Foster.

    It was later called 'a retirement gift'.

    For the 'vacant' WBC Light-Heavyweight Championship

    #2 WBC - Jorge Ahumada vs #1 WBC - John Conteh

    The bout could have been scored a Draw 15.

    I watched the Ahumada-Galindez footage over the weekend. I felt Ahumada got the better of the 7 or 8 rounds available for viewing. He clearly got the better of Foster. This guy is growing on me quickly. I'll be watching Conteh-Ahumada asap.
