The problem with the UKwingchunstudent is that he seems to think just because he posts a lot of videos a week and sometimes does a good job and has quite a lot of boxing fans interested in his stuff that it makes him sort of boxing pariah or something and in his recent videos in the comments section and even on twitter he makes out like he's some sort of celebrity who's above the common boxing fan.

This buncie video and the letter to adam smith was just blatant attention seeking and portrays him as thinking he's some sort of important figure in the sport, its just pathetic really, I bet at any live events he goes to he probably thinks he's some sort of V.I.P, he comes across as an alright bloke on his vids but you do get the sense, and these recent videos have pretty much confirmed it, that he's an arrogant ******* haha

Where did he say he supports black fighters over white fighters?

It seems like an odd and pretty damn racist thing to say.

he said it in one of his beef videos, it was something like "I'm not rascist, but everyone knows I support African and Jamacian fighters even if they are fighting british whites"

he reckons its a normal thing and that all black guys do it but its not rascist

I won't be watching any more of his videos, what a stupid thing for him to say. Why would anyone want to hear the opinion of anyone who supports boxers based on racism?

It was stupid I agree, here's some more nonsense from him

Imagine in detail a boxing world where Floyd Mayweather was white. Blonde hair; proud; true and American. I picture Chris Evans the Actor who plays Captain America standing upon a grassy hill chest expanded, fists clenched. Side profile. Something a little like this:

Those lovable moments when this alternative universe white Mayweather was to throw money at the screen, oh how we would chortle and enjoy. His almost rap like persona seen as affable, cute a little child like but endearing. A big boy. The general public would warm to him, this is how a white Mayweather would be viewed. Add on to this his amazingly smart actual fighting skills, his 43-0 record, and this boxing enigma was white? Would you seriously tell me without a trace of emotion across your moist quivering face, America wouldn’t love him? Tell me they wouldn’t and i will release the hounds on you.

Even the issue with the Domestic battery would, as i said be seen as less severe if Floyd Mayweather was white. Much like say Actor Lindsay Lohan constantly in and out of prison for Drugs; cocaine; theft; drunk driving. Yet seen as an American cutie pie who’s a bit naughty.

I heard him mention it in one of his Pac-Bradley post-fight vids, I think. In his attempt to illustrate how bad the decision was, he said something like "I have to say, despite wanting Bradley to win -- because he's the underdog and he's black -- there's no way he deserved that fight".

He went on to clarify that, when in neutral circumstances (two fighters that you're not a fan of or anything), there's nothing wrong with supporting the one you have some form of connection with. Whether he's from your hometown, same nationality, or, you know, skin colour :)lol: that sounds so wrong). Kind of like - if Latinos can support Latin fighters, Asians support Asian fighters, then why can't Africans support African fighters?

I doubt he's racist or anything. There've been plenty of occasions where he's rooted for a white fighter over a black one - Carl Froch, for instance.

I love the following comment this guy posted on his video (after deleting a load of comments that didnt support him)

"By the way if anyone says i delete their comments when i blatantly don't i will THEN delete their comment just for saying it."

    Obviously doesn't do irony.

People identify with others on both grounds of nationality and also ethnicity.

British P.akistanis living in England may well support the P.akistani cricket team against the English cricket team. It's a case where ethnic identification trumps identification on national grounds.

I don't think it's racist, just as I don't think it's racist for a white British--ethnic British--to be less inclined to support Amir Khan as a fan. It's a fact--whether or not people like it--that Khan isn't in a way a British fighter. Khan is British in the sense of British nationality and upbringing, but he isn't ethnically British. Khan may get less interest from British fans as a result. I don't believe that is wrong, just as I wouldn't complain about a P.akistani here supporting the P.akistani cricket team.

What? Can you explain yourself? It's not "national identification" if the P.akistani in question is a British citizen and has no citizenship with P.akistan.

because ****stan is a nation not a race! It's quite simple really.

Anyway, nationality and citizenship are two distinct concepts, although they often over lap.

But what we are talking about, is where someone is identifying with a different country to their own. The reason they do that, is for "ethnic" reasons. They aren't making a random choice of what country to support.

Wing chun. Making YouTube vids is like pouting in pictures. I did my work the hard way. 93, me and frank sat in a cafe. Uncomfortable silence. We both knew. Me and wingchun are different. Put it this way, if two of us were in a lift, there would be one expert, and one video creator. Boxnation, the home of boxing. YouTube, the home of idiots.

    Adios.
