Correction my friend Canelo has had some amateur fights not very many but he did have a short amateur career. I agree, Canelo is not scared but his handlers do feel Lara is too much risk and do not want Lara just yet. Canelo's age is irrelevant here, he has a belt therefore he should fight the top guys in the division, Lara being one of them. If his age was going to be an issue then they shouldn't of made him a champ so early by bringing up Matt Matton from 147 to 154 to fight for that vacant WBC strap. Once you are Champ, there should be no excuses like, well he's only 21 so he should not defend his belt against so and so. See what I'm saying compadre? If not Lara then Austin Trout should get the shot in a unification bout. But I wouldn't be surprised if Ortiz still gets the shot at Canelo, kinda like when Zab Judah Lost to Baldomir and still got his shot at Mayweather.

Yeah I can see that happening. I don't like the Canelo fighting another fighter coming of a loss ( Like when he fought Cintron and Mosley ) but this fight can be hyped up and sell tickets with the whole PR vs MEX rivalry and being that Canelo Beat Cotto's brother. Cotto has a chance to avenge his family's name. It's is a good way to get us to gage and compare Canelos performance against what Floyd did against Cotto.
