They are not exactly quality gloves.

Even the journeyman level pros in my gym have winnings or grants

That's the point of any endorsement deal so hardly grounds to blame anyone.

besides i don't imagine they hurry to rid of their promo gloves as soon as the cameras are off to change into something else in the middle of practice

Boxing org. are too corrupt... There are handfull guys on ibf rankings alone whom damn sure deserved title shot more than Tony the tiger.

I know some of them blatantly refused to face the champ but still..:dead

    Yeh well...
It's just for hitting the pads anyway.

Some might argue (and I'll side with them) that Adidas boxing gloves SUCK but what do you know, you can't have a boxing tournament in Europe without Adidas gloves and head gear, that's the general condition.

Looks in peak physical condition as always and could probably fight another 10 years undeafeted if he wanted to, he is that strong and good.

So Wlad needs to wait 4 more years before fighting Thompson?

Thompson is still "only" 40, but I agree that he will hardly prove to be a great challenge. He's a mandatory, though, so what are you gonna do?

Wlad's rematch with Brewster was also on Steward's birthday.

The more I think about this fight, the more I see
Wladimir really showing his speed and taking Thompson
out around the 6th or 7th round.

With that said, Thompson is no joke. He's a better
fighter than most here give him credit for.
