We should be excited about seeing Alvarez against a champion @ his weight class but... I won't lie I Kinda feel ripped off a bit?? Let's see what they do w/The undercards.
This is both a great fight (for the division, as it's talented unbeaten champs unifying) and a **** fight (for entertainment value). :yep If the likes of Hatton and N'Dou (and Rhodes, after he went into survival mode) were able to spoil and make it dull against Canelo, imagine what Trout will do? :scaredas: I didn't think Canelo vs. Ortiz was a good fight in terms of being competitive (said all along Saul would tear him apart) but it was good matchmaking in terms of giving Canelo someone who'll come forward and war with him. It's almost too bad D-Rod couldn't have beaten Trout via some technicality (like DQ on a foul, or a cut from a punch or something) because Alvarez vs. Rodriguez would have been MUCH more fun than Alvarez vs. Trout will be. Alvarez vs. Rosado, Alvarez vs. Kirkland...hell, even Alvarez vs. Molina would probably be more exciting. :yep
If this is true, that's great. Great style matchup and rids of us of a pretender. I feel like Trout is missing something and Canelo isn't quite there yet--don't know if he ever will be.
they may try but c'mon you know everyone will be watching the chavez vs martinez fight. and if they were smart they would throw Lopez on the undercard defending his new belt
Canelo's last 7 fights-Mosley,cintron,gomez,rhodes,hatton,ndou and baldomir,sad that matthew hatton probably gave him one of his toughest fights.
trout looked super ordinary to me in his last fight, which was the only time i've seen him. not only does this fight look like it will lack excitement, I wouldnt be surprised if trout were able to box his way to a lame decision win. I hope not. I hope canelo rips him a new one. golden boy should be looking to sign gabe rosado up for the fight.
