ZZzzzzz no interest whatsoever. Trout is easy picking for Canelo and even less of a draw.

It's a more boring fight, but will be far more competitive than Alvarez vs. Ortiz would have been. :deal

Canelo sometimes labors sluggishly and reluctantly when presented with a negative spoiling style (which is almost certainly the route Trout will go). He prefers guys to come at him and brawl so he can pick them apart with his superior strength and speed, as he did with Mosley, Baldomir, Cotto, Rhodes early on, and Gomez once he stopped sleepwalking.

Trout might get walked down and stopped late, or lose due to Canelo being given rounds as the busier aggressor if Trout can run and pot-shot to the final bell.

Ortiz 100% would have been KTFO, brutally and on the early side.

Lol Easy money, people talk **** but now they finally get a top 10 JrMW higher ranked then Lara,Molina, Kirkland and now they say its an easy win lol... not only that dude is a champion skillset not far from lara's..has a big win against Drod.... and I actually thought that was a good technical fight and what kept Drod at bay was Trouts Power...

Good fight, people finally get what they want a top 10 JR MW young, prime, and a champ. What more can you ask dude is more accomplished then Lara... once Lara establishes himself there will be no way to say no to him, its business.

You'll note, Doc, I've been saying that it will be competitive, that Trout is a laudable step up, and that it's good for the division...my major criticism is just that this isn't the kind of war that will help Canelo's popularity soar. He has had a few duds lately due to the willingness of his opposition to mix it up (not his fault; just how the matchmaking cookie crumbles) and it's best he be paired with dance partners who will help him shine. Trout will be very stubbornly opposed to letting Canelo shine, I promise you. :yep

If it's Trout, Canelo will almost certainly be given a gift.

Really good match up but will probably be on the boring side. Never believed GBP was going to be on CBS on Sept 15.

Trout is a good fighter I think Alvarez should be a slight favorite but this isn't a gimme for Alvarez-Trout is the best fighter Alvarez has faced so far.

I think Alvarez being linked to all lefties for this fight is simply a coincidence. There are a lot of good fighters available that just happen to be lefthanded.

Alvarez-Ortiz would have been a much better fight as far as action goes and a bigger fight but Ortiz was never going to beat Alvarez. The best scenario was that he put up an exciting fight before being stopped.

With this fight being on Showtime instead of ppv I would have much prefered to see Rosado get this fight.

Good match up, boring fight, Alvarez by close decision.

No way Canelo loses this fight, in his prime, at age 22. Canelo by KO/TKO!

Ortiz-Canelo fight was a sham. Ortiz was done a favor, he would've gotten beat up by a guy in a weight division higher than his. Of course with the broken jaw that fight wasn't going to happen anyways. This fight is much better. His first legitimate 154 opponent.
