Ortiz undergo surgery and had his jaw wired shut and have pins and titanium plate installed. According to Ortiz that he felt a break in the fifth which lead to his inability to close his mouth and he took another shot in the 9 that severed multiple veins which cause major bleeding.

So i am pretty sure this is a legit No Mas. And i thought Ortiz show some heart to continue fighting from 5th round.

Oh yea... he wants to exercise the rematch and wants revenge by KO!

The amount of blood he spit up on camera was disgusting.

My buddy saw him in the ER that night and could tell from a distance his jaw was messed up; said it looked pretty gross up close.

My friend suffer a similar injury in a cage fight and he was freaking out when he couldn't taste his food or had lost feeling in his jaws, and mouth... Some scary ****.

I'm sure it is legit. I've never broken my jaw before. But I'm sure he knew how the public would view this. He would have been better off getting hit and dropping to take a 10 count. It seems here its better to known as glass jaw more than being a quitter.

If he's talking about severed veins and ****.. **** that, absolutely made the right decision. Again, people here are quick to judge.

Sad part is that many will ignore the fact that it was a really bad injury.

I still insist it happened in the 9th I think them stating it happened in the 5th is what we call damage control, if they do not say it broke in the earlier rounds then fans simply say as soon as it happened he quit didnt even try, which is why I think we are hearing it broke earlier, makes Victor look better in that sense.

Should have done that a long time ago!

Seriously though - it sounds bad. Wishing Victor a full and speedy recovery. Ouch!

I remember seeing in between rounds before the 9th that his mouth was full of blood. I may have to youtube it later. I think he may have just fractured from the first hit and broken on the second is my guess.
