1. Ali 2. Jack Johnson 3. Rocky 4. Tyson Johnson was Shaft & Superfly rolled into one. You either loved him or hated him. In his day, he was the most famous man in sports, worldwide. The only reason I put Ali at #1 is because, by the time Ali came around, there were more people in the world.

Ali, end story. The guy had Obama like popularity (when Obama was campaigning prior to being elected and being utterly crap)
Ali would sportsman of the Century. 1st) Ali no question 2nd is Mike Tyson 3rd Leonard 4th Rocky Balboa
Ali Tyson DLH Ray Robinson Floyd Pac Leonard im sure that Joe Louis and Jack Johnson were popular as hell but i wasnt alive and there aint alot of footage so i cant speak on it.
Usually heavyweight champ. In John L. Sullivans time it was him, then Dempsey then Louis, Ali, then Tyson. I think they stood out most.
:yep my mom was a huge leonard fan. she always brag about how he would beat the **** outta Floyd and Manny.
Well, to be fair SRL is almost the epitome of a natural welterweight fighting machine; Floyd's unbeatable at 130, 17 lbs south. It's not any type of insult to him to pick Ray over him in a H2H. Leonard's top four or five wins are comparable to any fighter in history, really. Real glossy due to their records at the time he beat them too: Benitez (38-0) Duran (72-1) Kalule (36-0) Hearns (32-0) Hagler (62-2) Ayub being the only non-certified GREAT. Still, he was rough as **** at 154 lbs and the lineal champ when Leonard moved up to beat him.
oh i agree. too big, too fast, and too strong. would love to see leonard against a prime hopkins tho.
Very difficult fight for Leonard. He was still great at 160 but didn't venture up until a lot of his athletic ability had diminished. Plus with no more same day weigh-in, B-Hop's going to be a lot bigger in the ring. What you think about Larry Holmes? :yep This content is protected Poor guy had the misfortune of being between Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson. One of the most unloved champions ever during his own time. Kind of a shame because his actual boxing skills were elite across any weight. Maybe the best ever in the HW division. He seems to get more respect these days though.
