The Witter that beat Lynes would stop Ricky in his tracks....the fat lad needs to get any idea of a come back out of his head if he's considering it.

There's no boxing reason why he can't come back. Lots of decent fights can be made against the likes of Ortiz, Malignaggi, Alexander, etc. Hatton-Khan would be massive even now.

I doubt he'll come back though, he's made his money.

I see a Hansel and Gretel type situation here only with a very long line of coke rather than breadcrumbs.

people saying he could come back are dreaming.

He has had so many pies that his body is now officially 50% pastry.

it will be a disaster if he ever sets foot in the ring much less against a top level fighter.

You mentioned in your post that Ricky has "fought his demons"

Sadly you are mistaken, a few people i know were in a nightclub in manchester a few months ago and Hatton was wasted and asking everybody to buy ecstasy pills.

    true story.

There was a time about 2 years ago when Khan beat Malignaggi I though he would come back and the two would have a massive stadium fight.

Saw an inerview a couple of weeks ago and it looked like he'd dropped a little weight, still a big lad though.

    He's only 33.

If he eased into proper training with the right attitude and slowly stepped it up over a over 6 months to a year or so don't see why he couldn't make a come back.

    Don't think he will though.

    This was classic:

I doubt he could make 160 let alone anywhere close to WW safely.

    He's done.

He looked like a journeyman against Pac, let's be honest.

Losing and then gaining 40lbs routinely was bound to catch up with him, as was completely forgetting what made him world class in the first place and turning into a souped up Gallagher fighter from 2006 onwards.

A 2004/5 Hatton vs Victor Ortiz would be entertaining though.... Victoria would give Usain Bolt a run for his money.

Ricky's no genius, but he's smart enough to realise it would be a very unwise move.

Hatton has no real reason to make a comeback, nothing else to prove, whereas he can now prove himself as a world champion trainer I dont see that as second best its the next progression stage in his career. (Aswell as a world champion fighter).
