Froch says there will be a mandatory defence but as it stands there isnt a number one contender and all the top fighters have fights lined up

    1 NOT RATED
    2 Adonis Stevenson ( TBA 2012-08-11 )
    3 Edwin Rodriguez (TBA 2012-08-02)
    4 Thomas Oosthuizen (Rowland Bryant Ranked 13 - 2012-08-02)
5 Lucian Bute (Rematch clause possible)
    6 James Degale
    7 Mikkel Kessler
8 Kelly Pavlik (Will Rosinky Unranked 2012-07-07)
    9 Sakio Bika
10 Glen Johnson (Already beaten by Bute and Froch)
    11 Andre Dirrell
    12 Don George
    13 Rowland Bryant
    14 Librado Andrade
    15 Benjamin Simon

So really its between Oosthuzien - Rodriguez - Stevenson - Degale

yeah, that's why I was kind of hesitant for this rematch to take place now, rather than later. . . I'm afraid they might take too much out of each other, and in turn be unable to make other great fights with guys like: Pascal, Cloud (EXCELLENT MATCHUP FOR EITHER), Dawson, Shumenov, Cleverly, etc. . . There are just so many great fights to be made from 168-175.

this rematch between them will ALWAYS BE THERE. . . But hey, I'm just as excited that this great fight is taking place. . . As a boxing fan, you gotta love it. ..

If this fight is in Nottingham, I'm definitely getting tickets! Still annoyed I missed out on Froch-Bute

It was a draw at least in my book, froch being the champ deserved to keep his titles ,but whatever man, whats done is done, froch will stop kessler this time round ..

    I love froch/stevenson, or froch/rodriguez. . both great fights, and stylistic matchups. . .

ALso love Froch/Pavlik. . Can you say USA vs. ENGLAND?! English fans would get up HUGE for that fight!

Just SOOOO many great fights for Froch (and Kessler) out there from 168-175. Can literally think of 10 matchups that are drool-worthy.

I had it a draw as well. . . Either guy deserved to win. . .

I did think Froch did more damage, though. . . Kessler told Froch that he was likely done after that fight. . . Froch was like a ****ing MACHINE in that fight. . .

I like Froch to stop him. . . Froch can fight off the back foot, and Kessler can't. . . Froch will press Kessler out more this time, though. . He'll initially hurt him countering off the back foot, but unlike last time, he'll finish him off on the front foot.

This. . It was one of those fights where either guy deserved to win; and hometown it was fought in, would have won.

I thought the Stevenson/Bika eliminator was for the mandatory shot.

Yeah, it's always questionable when guys used to spar together. . .

Damn, Froch is so underrated in regards to boxing ability. . . LOVE how he shoots that up-jab from the waist, and keeps that right hand cocked ready to fire. . .

Look at 1:48, how he shoots the backhand hook to the body, and then swoops up, and under to avoid the counter punch, and turns him, sets back up, and ready to pop that chain again!
