It's easy to wave a guy up when you know you are gonna knock his arse down again.

Yeah but most fighters are too respectful in the ring to do it.

Funny enough you could have got 6/1 odds on Vitali winning that fight at the time. A bit underrated is Okechukwu Maduagwu.

    thats true and interesting

#Vitali knocked Hide down with the wind of his punches

#Wlad was knocked down by wind against sanders 2nd KD and then he crawled

    What an unusual family statistic

The ducker Lewis dumped his belt rather than face Byrd. Lewis also avoided Klitschko and only faced him when Vitali had only 2 weeks to prepare for him. Then Lewis ducked a rematch with Vitali that he publicly promised and retired. :deal

Vitali ducked Lewis during 2000. That is far more embarrassing then Lewis retiring at age 38 in 2004 after a tko6 win.

Stop dragging the SAME ****ING FIGHT INTO EVERY SINGLE VITALI THREAD.

    JESUS CHRIST.

IN this thread we are talking about

    Herbie Hide and Chris Byrd

this have **** all to do with Lewis

true. vital went from training for a gimme to lewis on 10 days notice. the surgeries are not mentioned much but certainly were a factor.

The rematch would have been an instant classic. too bad LL didn 't have the heart for it.

Maybe you didn't see the postfight interview > disposing of Hide, but Vitali said he wanted Tyson as his first defense and was the guy he wanted to fight.
