he is a very nice guy. in his videos he seems like he is just riding the wave. and just trying to say that he is a serious world title contender when really he is just a very good lower tier contender but he knows that so it is sort of hard to dislike the guy. yeah boxing in china should be popping off soon. with phillipines/japan/korea/indonesia etc taking off with world champions and the such. you would think it would take off. with the amount of money and gmbling as already said it's a brilliant sport to bet on if you know your stuff. he is cheap a heavyweight and has alot of titles easy to sell really. he is now kung fu panda
Welliver is now #5 in the WBC rankings. He will probably move up should he KO Williams at the end of the month. At this rate he might get a final eliminator/vacant title shot when Vitali retires!
Chauncy Welliver does post on the Aussie forum, and full credit to him for doing it :good One of our own heavyweights has a lacky do his posting and then sneaks along later and reads every word said about him thinking nobody knows he's doing it
Cheers bro. Will be good to meet in Macau and I'm sure you will see some quality boxing on the night. From what I hear it's on some American TV, but gotta find out which station, but I am trying to follow your lead with the UK boxing channel. Cheers bro.
Lilo, he's on the plane to Hong Kong as we speak. Should be arriving in a few hours. Hope he does well, as he's a top bloke.
Nice one, let's hope the "quality boxing" doesn't come from Williams! :nono Pretty sure he doesn't assault women. He fights nothing like Chisora in all seriousness, are you being a wanker by any chance? Good stuff, winnable fight for him.
Just had the weigh-in. Welliver comes in at 238lbs, pretty consistent with recent fights and 42lbs lighter than the Solis fight. Not sure about Williams. Should be a decent Thursday night in Macau!
Read his 10 odd questions piece in the back of BN last week, comes across as a good bloke Wasn't his nickname 'The fat dorky white guy'?
282 pounds for the Solis fight. Disgraceful for a 6ft 2in tall athlete. Good to see he's trimmed down substantially. Hoping for a decisive Chauncy Welliver win :good
That sounds like a good weight for williams. He should be in pretty good nick. I'm going to guess he has a couple of rounds as a loosener and then starts bombing away. Should be an entertaining fight.
