i agree with the idea there should be more 10-10 rounds and 10-8 rounds for clear rounds.

    Correct,,,,,,

In the bout I before mentioned,

'Fighter A' scored a flash knockdown in Round 5, but got clearly out-boxed
for over 2:30 of the round by 'Fighter B'.

The 'smart' Judge, scored it an Even Round.

'Fighter B' won Rounds 6 thru 10, and got the deserved Decision victory.

If it was 'old school', 'Fighter A' would have won the bout based upon
scoring a knockdown in Round 5, a round in which he was clearly
    out-boxed and lost badly.

Would be a draw. If Fighter B dominated round 5 but got knocked down it would be 10-9 for Fighter A. So A wins the first 5 rounds and B wins the next. 95-95.

I personally would change the rules so if a Fighter clearly wins a round but gets knocked down(as long as he isn't hurt by it) it would be scored an even round.

Sometimes a 'flash knockdown' is considered nothing more than a 'crisp punch'.

And sometimes, the fighter who is felled, is really nothing more than off-balance.

Case in point, when Ray Leonard knocked Wilfred Benitez down with a sharp
left jab. That round was 'NOT' a 10-8 round.

If Wigan Athletic score one goal against Man Utd with 30% possession and 1 shot, and Manchester United score one goal against Wigan Athletic with 70% possession and 30 shots, should the FA overrule the draw and award the win to Manchester United?

    Adz,,,,,

You may be the first person on the Planet Earth, to equate English Soccer
    with Professional Boxing.

But, you get an 'A' for effort....:good

The 10-point must system works fine when the people using it aren't corrupt or completely bereft of brain cells.

    That's the problem,,,,,,

The current 10-point must system is too confusing for them.

Boxing, the only sport when would can get a 10-point round, when
    not winning the round.

And here's the solution. Get judges who aren't corrupt and have graduated the 5th grade.

Both depend on competent judging. Without that, neither succeeds.

All Judges are corrupt, otherwise they wouldn't have gotten the
'nice gig', with all the niceties that go with the job.

Not really sure I understand what they are doing different.
Judges score by their evaluation in the first place (or who ever is paying them)
So at the end of a fight you get to see who won in their eyes.

To change the scoring and judging.
First - scores - a 10 point system makes no sense. You can not have a 10-1 round or anything close. So a single point per round. Loser = 0 , Ref to keep track of knockdowns which score a single point. Not 3 and does not mean you won the round.
To add to this - the judges have to watch the fight on closed circuit TV without sound.
So each is seeing the exact same thing. This will align scores. (less ones getting paid)
And no sound keeps crowd and commentator pressure OFF them.
I have no problems with making each round scores public.
If a fighter is in the lead and starts taking a round off it might give the opponent an opening. Yes, this might make for more "boxing" but if you want "EXTREME" go watch MMA. One thing it will do is keep judges more honest. Everyone would be able to tell if a judge is fixed before the end of a fight. And the commission can question between rounds.

There are other things but NONE of this will happen.
America is run by GREED. GREED is INNOCENT when guilty. It consumes all. They do not care. And YOU keep buying PPV's ...

STOP, demand change the only way we can - stop spending your money on THEM.
Once that happens THEY will listen.

Too much money and corruption in big fights. Judges and probably even anti-doping agencies paid off by promoters and managers. The only way to decisively win nowadays is by KO/TKO.
