It took you a day to come up with that lame ass come back?

You are have hated on PBF for years and now we to except your word on anything related to him? You write an article "Floyd Mayweather and the New Wave of Drug Testing in boxing". In this piece you talk about how the system can be beat under the USADA system and use PBF and his relationship with a dr hale to illustrate how it could be anyone. But its not just anyone it just happens to be the guy you always hated . . . LOL.

How about journalists aside from Montoya? That's what interests me. Does GBP have a pattern of doing this stuff to other writers. I sense that they do. Montoya may be just the most dramatic example.

You might want to read up on the bill of rights then. The purpose of the Bill of Rights is to ensure citizens certain proctection in concern with the government. So the first amendment for example, would protect citizens from being censored by the government. GBP is not a government entity. Ironically, it's their First Ammendment rights that allow them to serve people like Montaya cease and desist letters. If the government tried to stop them from doing so, that's when the ACLU would jump in.

I understand. While I will not say if I heard this rumor or not (and let's be clear, there was a tweet I saw a few days after May/Cotto that said Floyd had tested positive. But it did not say 3 times. And in my opinion, that tweet, not by me, is not what they are referring to.

That said, the answer to your question here is yes.

It wasn't a C&D. It was a legal threat that didn't scare me off. Since then what have they done? Nothing. Not only did I respond back to them with a legal middle finger, I printed their email and what happened?

    Nothing.

    No one asks why.

Do you remember who posted the Tweet? Was that person credible?

Apologies if you've already answered this question. I only sporadically look at this thread.

I know of one other writer who has received a similar letter on a separate issue. Oscar has blocked Iole and Rafael as well and then followed them again.

It took as long as it took you to read it. Bout a minute. I was busy today writing two stories at the same time and researching a third. What a weak comeback but it supports my post.

Your blind love dictates you focus on Floyd and ignore how right and downright educational I was on Peterson and Berto and the fact that I went on to break an MMA former champ (Cavalcante) as well as Tarver.

You know what you are not smart enough to do? To tell me what all those cases have in common besides me breaking them.

The point still stands. It's not an ACLU issue.

No I don't. As I recall, the account had an egg for a picture and not many followers so I didn't even favorite it. It seemed a non-issue as I recall. I looked to see if it was trending or anything like that. It didn't have legs so I left it.

I never said it was. I don't need the ACLU. I have a legal team I trust very well.

I never said that you said that it was. You jumped in the middle of a discussion I was having with someone else.

You're not making any sense. Think about it: the point here is that a promoter is leveraging the threat of a legal action in order to inhibit a reporter from doing his work. How can that not be a freedom of the press issue?

Given that we're talking about boxing, this affair could be beneath the level of importance that the ACLU likes to see before intervening. But even so, the principle stands. We're talking freedom of the press.
