Last Weds night I received information that the USADA had filed a motion in Colorado District Court to “quash production subpoena” of Floyd Mayweather Jrs medical records. The subpoena came from Manny Pacquiao’s lawyers after Mayweather Jr counter-sued Pacquiao for defamation. Team Pacquiao is requesting all relevant medical records pertaining to the three fights Mayweather used USADA testing in. The motion is attempt to deny Team Pacquiao those medical records.

Just a bit of editorialising, but in light of the release of the drug test results for Mayweather vs Miguel Cotto via pres release, this seems odd. If every single result is negative, why not release the medical data supporting the press released results?

100% transparency or the tests mean fsckall.

If people thank Manny is taking PED's for not testing then is May taking PED's if they won't even give the test results up when issued a subpena to do so? :think

Is the USADA covering their axe now? :think

    USADA have been around forever.

They do all the Olympic testing and have never shied away from exposing any athlete. Regardless of their stature.

Why would they be covering up for Floyd?

    It makes no sense?

Wasn't there an issue with Pacquiao releasing his medical records? If Pacquiao was refusing to release his then why should Mayweather do so for his results?

If this is a sign of guilt for Mayweather surely its a sign of guilt for Pacquiao??

Read the Nonito call transcript. It is on the front page and elsewhere. Arum alleges 'one fighter' is getting special treatment for money. Didn't that $100K for 2 months of testing sound just a tad high? The devil is in the details (contract).

Medical records and what SHOULD BE public record are two different things. This testing was done by Floyd to prove he doesn't use ANY banned substances. The FULL results should be public or at minimum made available to any of his competitors. Cotto, for example, should have the right to these for his bout with Floyd without question. Not just the Cliff Notes version of the USADA's interpretation of them.

Well, the US athletes also got preferential treatment from USADA before the 2008 Olympics, when they inexplicably cut the number of out of competition tests they carried out in the exact quarter when experts believe athletes are most likely to be doping.

I don't have a dog in this fight,it's just an issue I am very interested in. My main views are:

    - the whole sport needs better drug testing
    - the testing should not be purchased as a service by promoters of the fighters involved
    - anyone who refuses additional testing should be viewed with suspicion
    - the exact terms and conditions of the testing should be transparent

Mayweather's counterclaim is a joke, anyway. It has a 0% chance of winning. Pacquiao's lawyers are only requesting these documents to be a pain in the ass.

Am I the only one wondering why they filed it in Colorado, and not in Nevada?

Gabe just picked up the story from that website and ran with it and pretends to have inside information. He is a joke and something I knew he would do.

The original story came from STEVE WEISHAMPEL :rofl
