Weird. I'd think the Alvarez fight would be better for Cotto.

I'm pretty sure if SM beats Jr. you will start to hear rumblings of this match, as of now the casual fans care nothing about him therefore won't buy the ppv, and that's simply way too much risk, for the reward, Martinez beats Jr and that all changes

I wouldn't be against it, but Mayweather already beat him clearly. I'd watch for the simple fact that the first was a very entertaining and competitive bout.

Err no a tune up for getting out of jail:roll:

This makes perfect sense, pac is fighting marquez again in November.

Who is a PPV attraction for floyd to fight on his return to the sport this year? Khan, please Khan hasn't even fought yet at WW. So who else? Canelo won't fight floyd this year, they will probably fight next may. There is no one else who would be available for a December date that would sell well.

Floyd Mayweather was sick when May 5th came around. If he's anything like I am when I don't feel well, then he could've felt very weak. I heard him at the final press con and I knew right off that he was sick. If him being sick limited his performance then Mr. Cotto is up against it if they rematch and Floyd is at 100%. I don't mind it if they rematched. Floyd showed Pacquiao how to defeat a champion.

I am down for this and I will be there live it would be a dream come true Cotto UD12

Floyd needs to fight at MSG at leats once all the greats fight at MSG.

Floyd is the truth if he takes this fight, the options are slim and Cotto is the biggest $ fight out there.

It wont happen. Floyd wont fight outside of las vegas. Im thining either K-9 or spinks for hiim to get a title back and then vs Canelo on cinco de mayo of next nyear.

Sure! Beating couple freak circus cast-offs and losing 10 of 12 rounds warrants for rematch.

    Better to finish the theme.

Since Cotto was the champ in the first fight, he more than likely had a rematch clause in the contract. This is common and a champ deserves to try and take his title back if he so desires.

I enjoyed the first fight and am sure I will enjoy the rematch. Quality boxing right here.

Floyd clearly won the first fight, but the overall consensus amongst casuals is the fight was much closer than it was.

This means a big money rematch. Its the most money out there for either guy right now to make, with the exception of a May-Pac fight which will not happen this year.

I could see Mayweather doing it. Why not make 160 million dollars this year. Only in America can you make 160 million dollars and spend 3 months in jail that same year. LOL.

No other fight will generate that much money for either guy. And lets be honest, both guys are in the twilight of their careers and don't give a **** about challenging themselves at this point, its about making as much money as possible right now, for their futures.

The fight doesn't interest me much, but I can see why it may happen.

Cotto did better against Mayweather than Bradley did against Pacman...so why not?
