He's still be 6 foot 3 with 81-82 inch reach. He came from a somewhat middle class black family, so his nutrition would not be any different as he grew up.
Being dyslexic, and not able to play basketball or football, he'd not be given all this super nutrition that is shot into our boys today.

    He'd still move straight back.
In his day Ali was a very tall heavy, so could get away with moving straight back.
Today he'd be a medium small heavy, with relatively long arms.

Folks tend to forget he was well down in points against Lyle by round 11.
Shavers fell for the fake rubber legs.

Can heavy's of today hit as hard as small Shavers?

Touch of Sleep could move around well too. But Ali had a fine jaw, tested only by medium to small heavies.
Leaving out Jones who out boxed him and "Bleeding Henry" who lost to a razor blade and 5-6 minutes recuperation, getting and replacing the glove.
Jones was a very good fighter, a bit over the hill at I think early 30's-32? Why Liston lied about his age, no one wanted to see some old man, who was going to be over the hill real soon.
Back then that was getting old...back when there was a big talent pool.

A lose in either of those fights would have cost Clay, a year or two before getting a shot at Liston. He'd had to fight some more real single line contenders top five contenders.

I must admit I had my money on Terrell; but Terrell was not known for his power..

"Bulking up" BS, it would have given him bigger biceps, bigger chest muscles and gotten in the way of his jab.
I see a lot of over bulked fighters who can not throw a straight jab because of bulk. They throw chicken wing jabs.
Of course that would not be a problem for him in he threw from the waist. So bulked up, I'd see him being slower than he was...and today everyone knows that trick...so it's nothing new. Hell even Vittaly went over to the low jab.

Of course his height wouldn't change but he would be bigger, faster stronger and physically better in pretty much everything. Oh I forgot, you're right, muscles slow you down :patsch

If you look at the videos of Ali he was actually big. He wasn't small by any means. He had a bigger frame then Haye and was 6'3 and 215-220 which is similar weight to Haye. Ali would be a champion in this era also. Too fast, too accurate, too tough etc

Ali at 6'3 is fine. Taller than half the top contenders anyway and he would be in shape.
Is it better to weigh 240 and look like a fat **** or weigh 210 and be solid muscle? I go with Ali. He wins.

    The nostalgia clowns AGAIN!

They actually had steroids in the 70's. Human grade stuff as well. Not the UGL(underground labs) junk of today, made from cattle inplants/pellets and spiked with Benzyl Alcohol.

The meat and vegatables were also of superior quality back then.

Your hero's of the earstwhile era's would have all been somarily(sp) dispatched by the Klitschko's even if you engineered thier DNA in test tubes. Or maybe you could just engineer the Klitshko's to be Black then all of you would suddenly love them.

The thread creator obviously felt the need to create this useless thread after his total lack of IQ was revealed in the prime ali vs wlad thread.
