Carlos Molina is an Elite fighter!

I think he has the potential to be a good fighter if he starts punching more, simply put, but how is canelo a few levels behind?

so far all hype, I don't know about all the so called Mexicans backing the guy when they are well aware the guy hasn't fought a top 154 fighter, mostly welters fighting at 154, and not the best welters either, BUT hold on, He's young, he will accomplish much more, so far it's all hype, to a be a top fighter you must fight top competition in their best weight division possible, not bring up welters. Unlike most people here on ESB I actually follow all 17 divisions.

B level fighter until proven otherwise. What he was able to do with Lara is admirable and I think he won that fight. Then he beat Conyers, then the mental weakling Cintron, nothing special there at all. He held Kirkland a lot to avoid shots, and that was boring, and Kirkland is also a B level fighter, but at least he's an entertaining B level fighter. He's going to have trouble getting fights with his style for sure, and he already has.

Molina isn't quite elite but he's champion level. he's hella effective and great at neutralizing fighters strengths.... he has a very high ring iq. His style isn't pleasing but I love watching guys like him who don't have any physical gifts but manage to beat people that have all the gifts in the world but not half as much ring smarts as he does. He's got nothing that stands out but he knows how to take **** away from someone and **** up their plan and i think if anything people like him who aren't very athletic/fast/powerful should get extra props for being able to beat people who have those gifts. Takes balls to enter a gunfight with a butterknife and still win. Caveman Kirkland wants no part of a Molina rematch.

 

Don't call someone who steps in the ring and fights for a living a *****.
