People don't know how lucky they have it these days. Back in my day we had to make do with the basic Sky package and if you wanted to watch football on C5 you had to tune it in with a coat hanger.
When I was a kid we only had 3 channels. I remember one day, there was **** all on, so I was forced to watch the snooker, on a black and white TV.
i understand what your saying. i watch allot of fights delayed. quite often they get spoiled to and i hate to know the result. i have even watched pacquiao vs bradley as i new the result. but i live a busy life and its better than no boxing at all.
I had to Sky+ Froch v Bute and go all day until Sunday evening avoiding the papers, radio etc. I was out all day but no one told me the result as probably 99% of people don 't know who Froch is.
I work night shift so occasionally miss the big fights so have to stay off all social media through the night and warn a few mates not to text me anything regarding the results. Missing tonights and Saturdays action and have an extremely busy Sunday so it could be Monday before I see the fights.
Maybe this guy didn't know how to program the VCR to record when he's not there. Those things were notoriously hard to program. Even Duffy couldn't work the ****er out. It was a conundrum.
It was a pain in the arse, especially if you were recording multiple programmes on different channels. It could take all night. You were better off just staying in and watching them.
I'd keep both mate, Heather Thomas from the Fall Guy and Daisy Duke on one video's pretty acceptable for the 80's
