Just because he asked for it, it doesn't make it right from GBP/Canelo's part. They're sacrificing a junior welterweight for a solid light middle. A junior welterweight that looked like **** at 147, by the way. God knows what he'll be like at 154.

I'm happy for him getting paid too because he's the sort of fighter who really deserves it. But I'm a boxing fan, I don't see him having ANY chance here. He has heavy hands at 140 and has been in some wars, went up to 147 for one fight and got bullied and dominated by Alexander. Now he's going to fight Canelo :-( I hope he's getting paid well because he's going to be riding the pain train in this one.

LOL just saw this, at 147 I wouldnt bet on maidana against anyone because hes just too slow, Matthysse would get stopped by Maidana at 140 though.
