Big jaw, but if he told me he was a spaniard, Portuguese, Italian or some other Latin European I would believe him.

Put a sombrero on him and it´s obvious to me that no one in US would consider him white........and he´s a spaniard, an european.

you're wrong about americans. not ever american believes latin-americans are strictly mexicans. that's stupid, and untrue.

Not what I said actually.....many americans think latino is a "race"....and most of them have more contact only with mexican-americans, and many mexican-americans apparently also believe that they are a "race".....and mexicans generally are more brown than the rest of latin america, especially more than South America for sure.
I know it sounds weird to many of you, but we always put the nationality spirit before anything...no one view you by your "race" like happens in some other places, like USA.....

when you say americans without prefacing it with an adjective that only accuses some of the american population, like the word "some," it's perfectly okay for me to assume that you're ignorant enough to mean, the entire american people. I now realize that isn't what you meant. secondly, you're wrong about americans having more contact with mexican-americans than any other latin american group. that's a gross generalization, i'm telling you the truth. it totally depends on the region from which you hail. thirdly, I guarantee that there's racism in brazil. any country whose people are not predominantly the same skin tone, has some form of racism.

Fair enough, I hear you......btw never said there isn´t racism in Latino countries, there is a type of it, in all of them. But is totally different than USA in this aspect......I can tell you that much better than you because I born here, was raised here and I live here.....

I don't doubt that you know what you're talking about, but you said, "no one view you by your "race" like happens in some other places, like USA." correct me if i'm wrong, but is that not saying that brazil does not have racism? that's the only thing I addressed. I wasn't referring to the rest of latin america. I clearly highlighted brazil.
