Yes scott looked strong he always did but hes very slow now and Ricky would smash him to bits. Couldnt beleive Peter Harrison is Ricky ready for Scott i nearly pissed myself lol,put him in with Corolla or Mathews both hard fights for him,Gavin Rees would beat him easily enough just now as well imo
fact is billy he is hungry and gunning for Ricky, a real danger to be honest, i just hope ricky will give him a shot when scott strings a few good wins together and doesnt back off from the fight
ricky dosent owe Harrison the fight and it comes across like Harrison thinks some sort of entitlement to fight Burns ...but he dosetn. I do hope though billy he can string the wins together and get himself in postion to fight burns
He looked big, strong and well conditioned. Technically he still looked sharp. That was a very good return after 7 years at 34.
It's a far more credible fight than Mitchell. Billy I think Ricky wins against Scott but... Scott definitely has the power to hurt Ricky and is a very different proposition to Mitchell. I think Scott could maybe walk through Ricky's jab for a few rounds and get to him. Would make a great fight and it's definitely one that should and could be made. Im a big Ricky Burns fan have been since the johanson and Arthur fights but he has not been in the ring with anyone like Scott Harrison what a fight for Scotland hope it happens..
Billy how would you see the fight happening with Harrison and Burns? . If ricky done what he done against Martinez he would be stopped by Harrison. Also Ricky was near flawless against katsidas and Moses but he was still tagged a few times in the fight. Ricky is caught with alot of stupid shots in which harrisons power can be the difference. Hes alot more credible than kevin mitchell in my mind. Everybody says mitchell beat murray etc. Murray or mitchell are not world level. Mitchell demolished by katsidas and murray outclassed by Rios.
PS - all his bad points i.e. lacking in speed, where his bad points all those years ago. The fact is, if he hasn't lost a step then he is a genuine world class operator. Not Alex Arthur or Nicky Cook but the next level up. Burns is also that so if that is his goal then a fight with Matthews, Crolla, Rees etc is a good step in proving he still has it. All he needs is a few fights to prove he hasn't lost a step because if he hasn't we already know that he is world class.
