Closest I've gotten was when Buster Douglas beat Mike Tyson and the interviewer asked why he won and he said because of his mother who recently passed away and starter getting emotional.
Yes, when I was 6 or 7. Got hit in The gut and threw up in the ring, my pops was mad and made me clean up the ring. I remember crying about it, so yes boxing has made me cry..
When Douglas knocked down Tyson.. :-( Mike was on the floor picking up his mouth piece and still want to continue the fight.. Even though I just watched it on tape because I was curios of who was the first boxer to beat Mike, and man it was sad.. :-( I did not actually cry but I felt really sad.. :-(
When Adamek threw 9 punches per round and ran like a coward and kept looking at the referee to intervene i shed a tear for thousands of those fans who paid money to watch their national hero put up a fight instead of run and quit.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHcbFUTIslI[/ame] I still believed that Tyson won by an 8th round KO.. I could count up to 14 seconds when Douglas was down.. Same with Mike.. But without that knockdown, Douglas did a masterful performance.. He completely neutralized Mike there.. The moment he completely got up, I know the fight is over.. Mike is going to lose.. You know the feeling when one of your favorite fighter is going to lose, and you can't help but wait.. :-( :-( Really sad.. :-( :-( :-(
Although, after watching Emile Griffith Benny Paret III after I knew Paret died later in hosptial, it was a bit emotional. Emile Griffith >
