    Back in 82 i got my hands on my 1st VCR, VHS, most were still betamax for those that could afford them. Yeh i bet there's an old tape lying around in someone's collection with it on. I recall they did a 10 minute doco for the build up to the fight & it showed Benitez lookin down his nose winding duran up by eye balling him when they were sat next to each other on the podium at the presser & suddenly Duran flipped & the usual mayhem ensued:yep

    The Classic was when Duran called SRL's wife a "puta" pre-Montreal fight#1.

    Yes, as mentioned earlier. A documentary before the Benitez fight had them going for each other and both had to be separated by their respective teams when they went for each other. Duran actually threw better punches in this exchange than he did the actual fight. A case of "The Storm before the Calm" it seems. :yep

    :rofl:rofl..I love Benitez..:good..that theatrical arrogance of his is unmatched, IMO...like the staredown with SRL...I don't care if he lost the bout, he WON the staredown!! With Duran, I was tickled to death that Benitez won...
