Boxers must sign up to fight under ONE sanctioning body. They then can only fight other boxers who fight under the same body. If they fight under the WBC they can only fight other boxers from the WBC. If they are contracted to the IBF then they can only fight others from the IBF and so on. let's say a boxer signs a 3 year contract with their chosen body.

At the end of the year or season, the champions from all the sanctioning bodies will fight in a tournament. Here the best fighter in each division will be discovered.

However the belts cannot change hands. A fighter can only lose his belt to somebody in his own organisation.

This should have been the case form the the beginning. At least everyone will know where they stand. And I do feel it will give sanctioning organisations a legitimate position.

Never has happened before, and I think it is very unlikely that it ever will.

How about people use their own judgement and knowledge of the sport to recognize the best fighter?

There is too much money for fighters, promoters, alphabet organizations, TV etc, to ever have only one World Champion in each division.

There has not been a time since the invention of Queensberry rules, where one body was the universally recognized arbiter of who is and is not World champion.

This may be the case in Britain in the very near future. Boxers will be licenced either by BBBofC, or the Luxembourg body and never the twain shall meet.

The best idea is to make all the sanctioning bodies pay for drug testing for all "title" fights.

I guarantee you all the bull**** titles would fall by the waste side then.

If there was only ONE true champion amongst a MAXIMUM of 4 weight classes then there really would be no problem if a boxer was fighting every 3 or 4 months like they should.

I guarantee they will not, even if you could, which would be very, very hard to do.

They would just charge extra in their sanction fees, to make up for the cost. The boxers would be the only ones to lose out.

I really dont have a problem with the alphabet belts it just a way fighters can make more money and they usually drop them anyway when a better title comes along i know if i was fighter i was told i could the fight someone and it would be billed an international contest and earn £1000 or fight the the same guy and bill it as an world title fight and get paid more i would fight for the world title

Why would I sign up to your 3 year deal? Are you going to give me a guaranteed minimum wage for those three years?

So you offer me a minimum 1M per fight for 10 fights over 3 years? Do you have enough money to sign up a quarter of all professional boxers?

I'm pretty sure 'Money' wants 50M per fight for 3 fights over 3 years, so make sure you put that in your budget.
